Cecil Harris

Life’s race well run; Life’s work well done; Life’s crown well won.  According to the will of our Farther, Cecil Harris’s time came at the end of a long well spent life as he entered a sleep that knows no awakening except in the presence of God.

Cecil Harris was born to the late Mattie and Ike  Harris on April 28, 1935 in Horry County, South Carolina. Cecil departed this earthly life to enter into eternal rest on November 16, 2022 in Hampton Virginia. He attended Horry County public schools.  He was a member of Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church in Bayboro, South Carolina.  Also, member of Queen Street Baptist Church in Hampton Virginia.

Cecil moved to Hampton Virginia at an early age.  He was employed at Newport News Shipbuilding in Newport News, Virginia for 32 years, where he retired.   Cecil was known for his gentle heart. He never meets a stranger. Also, the love he had for Rev. Terry Harris AKA (Teddy).

Cecil proceeded in death by his parents, four sisters and four brothers.

Cecil leaves to cherish his memories, Rev. Terry Harris (Michelle Harris) and a host of nieces and nephews.
